What is the difference between after-hours and long-term parking?

After-hours parking rents out your car park after closing time, booked daily, weekly or monthly. With long-term parking someone rents a space by the month, and the plate is registered for the whole term of the contract.

Which car parks are suited to renting out spaces?

Car parks that stand empty at times: customer car parks of retailers and shopping centres after closing time, hotel car parks and any car park with cameras at the entrance and exit.

Do I need active parking enforcement for after-hours parking?

No, not by staff. The cameras capture every plate at the entrance and exit. Whoever has booked counts as permitted. Whoever parks without a ticket is detected by ParkComplete as a violation.

Who takes care of the users and the contracts?

Parkers book, pay and cancel themselves on the booking page. Keepers with a case check it themselves in the case lookup.

Can I set the rental prices myself?

Yes. You set rates and tickets per area: price per hour, free time at the start, daily maximum, separate prices at night and at the weekend.

What happens if a user exceeds the booked time for after-hours parking?

ParkComplete detects this as the violation “Parking time exceeded”. The case is presented for approval the next day.

Do I need a barrier?

No. The cameras capture the entrance and exit, so it works without a barrier. An existing barrier can also be connected.
